Bachelor of Arts – Slavic Studies

Information about the B.A. in Slavic Studies (major, 6 semesters, 120 ECTS)

The B.A. in Slavic Studies as a major is a degree program that is designed to be completed over the course of six terms by collecting 120 ECTS credit points. The degree program in Slavic Philology provides students with essential research, analysis, and presentation skills as well as with language training supplemented by courses on culture and media. To ensure a high level of language proficiency, students choose one Slavic language at the beginning of the degree program. Students can then either deepen their knowledge of this language by selecting between elective modules in the fifth and sixth semesters or they can choose a second Slavic language to replace the first one.
In addition to majoring in Slavic Studies students must also take a minor subject requiring 60 ECTS credit points.

Comprehensive information about the B.A. in Slavic Studies can be found on the LMU’s central website (only in German).

For all detailed questions about the degree program please contact the academic counseling service at the Institute of Slavic Philology.
